This image was conceived as cover art for a birthday CD for my brother. In this portrait I fell in love with the colour yellow. The picture was taken by Dixy Sormani in Sevilla. Originally there was a yellow tile background, but the end product is more like the brilliant swirling mass of the sun. The 'angel' in the bottom right was drawn by my niece, so actually it's a family effort.

So it's self-portrait time again. But what do you do when your webcam takes horribly low-resolution images and blurs your features? Just go wild with textures and colour shifts! the blue background suggested itself as I was tweaking the colours and I decided to go with it, it also sets of my skin tone (which is a pale white in reality).

These are collages of several superimposed self-portraits. After doing a few that focused more on the face and consisted of many different elements I decided to do a few quick ones with a rougher feel. Then I played around with the background colours and textures.

These images were created as album art for a music collection called Transmissions from Venus. It was a collection of mostly dark and atmospheric songs with un unearthly feel. In making the artwork I tried to mirror this mood. These were among the first digital images I have created. Early 2004

This piece combines a picture of me with elements of a painting by Breughel and architectural elements photographed by myself in Germany. My aim was to get an iconic, medieval feel. the illuminated seal does the trick. February 2006
